I’ll tell you in advance: you need to learn how to automate the various stages of marketing. You, your sales and marketing team can’t track your leads individually and manually all the time. It is no longer sustainable. Today, in fact, once an automatic contact generation system has been implemented, it is no longer necessary to run all day. The system will generate new leads for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In this article, I will give you some valuable ideas on how to do this.

What is a marketing funnel?

Before learning my automation techniques, you need to learn at least at a high level what this so-called funnel you have probably already heard of. This is a sales sequence that gives you and your marketing team a picture of your buyer’s journey. Think about it, potential customers don’t just see a sponsored ad, they leave their email address and then buy from you. Before buying, they also go through some stages. Well, if your goal is to have a lot more quality customers and scale your business (and it certainly is), it’s your responsibility to make sure you’re there to guide your customer every step of the way.

The customer acquisition process consists of several stages. You are free to develop your own sales sequence, which as I explained to you is a visual image of the entire automation process. Usually, however, the following is included:

Lead Generation — As the name suggests, this is the lead generation process. They are not yet your customers as they have not yet paid for your service or product. It is the beginning of the marketing automation process and most importantly the one that needs the most hard work and dedication. This is where you have to answer some fundamental questions: “Who is my ideal client? How old is he? What interests does he have? Where is it? How does their time pass? “

Lead Nurturing : Leads captured through these stages go into your predetermined sales sequence. The next step is to feed them. What does it mean? You engage them by offering them valuable content, so they will stay in the funnel without leaving. You are branding yourself, your company and your product or service.

Leading Scoring — This is the process of determining the value of your leads. This way, you can prioritize those that meet your goals. For me, having customers is not enough. They have to be of high quality and the only way I can know is if I can compare my leads with the typical profile of my ideal buyer. Is the new contact similar to my buyer profile?
Now, what if it’s not consistent with your ideal buyer? Does that mean you should let it go? The answer is absolutely no. You can always use these contacts in the future.

Well, the information I’ve given you so far should have given you a bit more insight into marketing automation.

At this point, I’d like to share with you four strategies to automate everything optimally:

1. Lead Generation: Create Facebook Ads

The great thing about online marketing is that you can promote your business 24/7. This is automation for you already. A few months ago, I was traveling and visiting different countries with my wife. I spent a fabulous time with the people I care about, doing the things I love most. Yet, I was still continuing to accumulate new leads thanks to online marketing.

Warning: Online marketing can be really hard work. There is no point in wasting time, money, and energy on tactics that you’re not even sure will work.

I’ll start with my proven method, which is to create Facebook ads. What makes it special? It is a very powerful marketing tool, for example, for a free consultation.

As one of your marketing automation tools, Facebook Ads can help you a lot, as you can narrow down where, to whom and when your ads are shown. You can get them published 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It’s the perfect tactic for the first stage of your digital marketing funnel.

2. Lead Nurturing: Grow your email marketing list

A huge chunk of my success lies in my mailing list. It provides me with many benefits. For example, I can easily reach my audience in a more intimate and personal way.

During the automation process, it allows me to foster and maintain great relationships with them. I use my email list for a lot of things, including offering freebies like e-books or video courses. I use it to send updates on my events and seminars. I can even sell tickets and sometimes offer a special price for my mailing list contacts.

These strategies are effective for attracting attention and converting leads (contacts) from the audience. There are already many automation platforms for this type of marketing today.

One of these is what is technically called the “autoresponder”. It is software that, once properly set up, sends your emails to your subscribers based on their actions and behavior on your site. For example, it can send a welcome email every time someone leaves you the email. The content can be a video, a link to your posts or event page, social media page, images and much more.

Email marketing automation software can also provide you with metrics like those you find in Google Analytics. These include open rates (how many people have opened the email) and conversion rates (how many people have clicked). Some of these are even capable of performing real-time analytics. You can use the data to measure the success of your sales and marketing strategies.

3. Lead Nurturing: delivering valuable content

Until a few years ago, business owners used to spend their time chasing leads and trying to make cold sales. They tried to “feed” them by sending spam emails or making cold calls. Nowadays we use marketing funnel automation to establish your prospects.

To make the whole machine work, you need to provide your customers with relevant and valuable content. The purpose is to help your contacts in their decision making process.

You can do this with content marketing, i.e. through the publication of quality content. Some of the content marketing strategies my team and I use are blogging, posting various social media posts, videos, and opt-in pages (free resource in exchange for email). All of this is not only aimed at providing useful content, but also to spread the word about my programs.

4. Lead Generation: Create a powerful life story

A life story isn’t just your bio. It is also your deep connection with your customers. It will help them understand what you do, what you sell and most of all why you do it. They will know how your product or service can change their life. Through your personal story you are able to draw the transformation they want to achieve in the mind of your potential client, as if it were already theirs.

Your story is what will make you easily recognizable. If they listen to you and look at you, they can say to themselves: “This is also what I want for myself”. Technically it is called the concept of resonance. When they understand your life story, they will know the value of your program. When they do, they are willing to pay thousands of dollars to get the results they want.
